Experienced Cyber Security Industry Leader Wayne Schepens
A managing director with LaunchTech Communications in Baltimore, Wayne Schepens has more than two decades of experience in the cybersecurity industry. In his position as the public relations agency's founder and executive leader, he is tasked with managing the health and expansion of the company, which provides award-winning PR support to clients in the cybersecurity and tech industries. In his role with the agency, he manages all aspects of strategy and profitability, as well as matters of staffing and development of the management team. Under the leadership of Wayne Schepens, LaunchTech Communications has received industry accolades, including multiple SC Magazine awards.
Wayne Schepens studied civil engineering as a graduate student at Virginia Tech, receiving his master of science in 1998. He also holds a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from the State University of New York Maritime Academy. He has attended and spoken at numerous RSA and Black Hat events over the last 20 years. In his free time he provides career counseling services and contributes to organizations such as Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, the American Heart Association, and Food Allergy Research & Education.
